Besides working on larger projects, I really enjoy documenting my everyday life. I capture moments around me and edit them into videos, which also helps me continuously improve my editing skills. It allows me to experiment creatively while capturing meaningful moments.
For a project for the course ‘Filmmaking’ at
Lorenzo De Medici in Italy, I created a short film about
the process of heartbreak. I followed every step needed
to make a film, from building an inspiration board to
writing a script. I also edited the entire film myself in
Premiere Pro, which taught me how to build rhythm,
emotion, and atmosphere through pacing, sound, and
visual transitions. Through this project, I learned how
to turn the process of an emotion into a visual story, which
helped me grow both creatively and technically. In
addition, I worked closely with a small team for the
shoot, which taught me how to communicate a clear
vision, divide responsibilities, and collaborate
effectively under time pressure.
