Currently, I am working on the short fashion film Forever Young. As preparation for the final production, we, together with our crew, have created this one-minute scene to explore the project’s visual style and narrative direction.
Forever Young is a satire on the continuously rising retirement age. During the development process, we recognised that this is a growing concern among younger generations, and through this film we aim to give a voice to those anxieties. The story imagines a possible version of the world in 2080, where hustle culture has been pushed to an extreme and the pressure to remain productive never truly ends.
Besides working on larger projects, I really enjoy documenting my everyday life. I capture moments around me and edit them into videos, which also helps me continuously improve my editing skills. It allows me to experiment creatively while capturing meaningful moments.
For a project for the course ‘Filmmaking’ at Lorenzo De Medici in Italy, I created a short film about the process of heartbreak. I followed every step needed to make a film, from building an inspiration board to writing a script. I also edited the entire film myself in Premiere Pro, which taught me how to build rhythm, emotion, and atmosphere through pacing, sound, and visual transitions. Through this project, I learned how to turn the process of an emotion into a visual story, which helped me grow both creatively and technically. In addition, I worked closely with a small team for the shoot, which taught me how to communicate a clear vision, divide responsibilities, and collaborate effectively under time pressure.
